Here's a look at our learning this week:

In writing, we will continue working on opinion writing. We will work on forming our own opinions and then adding supportive reasons and examples which support those opinions.

In reading, we will continue working on understanding Point of View. We will use the book, Voices in the Park to help us with this skill.

In science, we will continue learning about the different animals and plants of Georgia. We are learning about the specific adaptations that plants and animals have which help them survive. The 5 regions we are studying are the Appalachian Plateau, the Valley and Ridge, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Piedmont, and the Coastal Plains. On Wednesday we will attend a special habitat puppet show in our Learning Commons.

In math, we are starting a new unit on fractions. We will begin by partitioning shapes into equal parts. Then we will learn how to label each part of that shape as a unit fraction.

We're looking forward to a great week! Please reach out to me or Mrs. Keith if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
