Here's a look at our learning this week:

During our reading time, we will be visiting the Learning Commons to learn more about how to check out books and how to search for books, as well as all the different stations within the Learning Commons.

Our writing time this week will focus on something called a small moment. We will work on a short writing pieces after picking our own small moments from our lives. Ask your child what his or her small moment ideas are throughout the week.

Toward the end of the week, we will review what was learned in second grade about nouns. As you're child reads at home, have him or her go on a noun hunt! Next week we will move on to pronouns which replace nouns.

In science, the students will continue their understanding of our Rocks and Soils standards. The class will be heading to the Learning Commons for an inquiry based research project on rocks for two days.

In math, Mrs. Westbrook will be working on rounding to the nearest 100 and then addition and subtraction within 1000.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out on ClassDojo or by email. Have a GREAT week!
